This is our first LG product and I am wondering why we waited so long. We also purchased the LG combination microwave and wall oven. I just finished cooking breakfast on the LG cooktop and it couldnt have been easier. It heats up fast is very easy to use and very safe. Having very young grandchildren being very safe from inquiring little minds is extremely important to us.

Like controls but dont trust install width

Really like the user interface and burner/control layout. Note the unit is about 1/16th of an inch wider than its specifications. This required grinding out granite countertop to fit in our case. Also recommend noting the model/serial number of the unit before installed as it will be hidden once installed. Otherwise great so far in our 3-week ownership.

LG LCE3010 COOKTOP

After a log wait LG LCE3010 cooktop was delivered on October 4 th. Eversince it was delivered Power On/Off button has been tempramental. Sometimes once touched its on. Sometimes it does not come on sometimes once press hard it comes on etc. When it does not come on circuit breaker has to be turned off and on to get it back on. Electrician checked it thoroughly and power is coming up to junction box that feeds the cooktop. This has been a very frustrating experience. i built a new kitchen. LG oven and microwave are still backorderd. Without a functioning cooktop kitchen is not functional.

LOVE this Cooktop

Although the time between purchase and installation was lengthy I am happy to report it was all worth it. This beautiful LG cooktop replaced a 20 year old cracked and failing cooktop and I could not be happier The child lock keeps my kitties from turning on a burner with their paws although I keep it covered so they dont walk on it anyway. The controls are easy to use and only having to touch the number selection for the level of heat is so much easier than sliding your finger around the numbers. The burners heat quickly and cool down faster than my previous cooktops. I am so pleased with this purchase Now if I could just find the LG double wall oven I want to replace the current 20 yr old microwave/oven combo that is rusting away

Touch pad failure

Loved it at first but only after a few uses. Touchpad would not function. We tried flipping the breaker off and turn the unit back on. After trying this two of the burners functioned but could not be turned off using the touch pad. Unit start smoking so we turned off the breaker again. We bought this cooktop several months ago for our new build but have only used it for less than two months. Facebook messenger customer service was no help.

Complete touch failure twice since I bought it

My LG cooktop has lost all touch functionality twice. The first time it was about six months after purchase. LG repaired it under warranty. Fast forward about 18 months and the same thing happened again. LG would not help with the repair so this one is my responsibility. Itll be without use of a cooktop for several weeks until local service can repair it. Two complete failures in a little over two years leaves me no option but to give my experience a very low rating.

Not so great features

Bought this as a replacement stovetop a few weeks ago. Its ok but I find the controls to be a two step process which seems unnecessary. You have to press the individual control to on and then go back to the central control to select the temp 1-9. You have to do this every time you adjust the burner. Also you have have to hold each surface button down for a few seconds there not instantaneous. Both of these issues are quite annoying when you have multiple burners in use

Motherboard and touchpad toast Buyer Beware

14 very lightly used 30 cooktop the lights all started strobing. LG tech comes out and gives me a $7xx repair bill. Call LG and out of the 1 year warranty period. Cooktop was bought but we had not moved in and started using. After checking online I see this is not an uncommon problem with their cooktops but the still have no recall or recourse for this issue. Whole kitchen is LG and now will be replacing the cooktop with another brand. Will think twice next time. Not happy do your research and google issues.
