I hate this washer as any piece that gets washed must be ironed because there is no normal permeate press cycle and normal spin is high or medium. I have never experienced that with any washer I have owned in the past. I wouldt recommend it or LG washers to my worst enemy. I have had several repair people out under warranty and have been told it is the government regulation which I do not believe

Do NOT buy directly from LG.com. I just received an email from LG asking me to rate this washer that began with Now that youve had some time to enjoy your new washer. The trouble is I havent. The entire delivery installation and follow up customer service has been the worse I have ever encountered. The delivery and installation was originally supposed to be on 12/27. On the evening of 12/26 I received an email from the 3rd party logistics company saying delivery was delayed and to call to reschedule. I called and the 3rd logistics company said they hadnt received the item. I called LG and they said it had shipped but had no way to track where it was. FedEx and UPS can tell me where the smallest package currently is but LG apparently has no way to tell where a large dryer is currently located. I had to call 3rd party logistics company back and reschedule and hope for the best. It was rescheduled for 1/3 because they only deliver on Wednesdays in my area. The washer and dryer were delivered on 1/3 but they did not bring the dryer vent I had paid for installation on both so couldnt install. The 3rd party said to call LG. I called LG and they said call the 3rd party logistics company. This back and forth went on for a while until someone from the 3rd party called in response to how I answered their survey. She was wonderful and arranged for someone to come install dryer the next day. During my calls with LG I had requested to speak to a supervisor and was told it would be 24-48 hours for a supervisor to contact me. So on 1/4 the tech comes to install the dryer and when plugged in immediately blows the circuit. He tells me is either circuit or bad dryer and he has no way to tell. It is a brand new home so I call builder and he sends electrician on 1/4. The circuit is fine so dryer is bad. Time to call LG customer service again. My previous calls to their CS line the calls were slightly garbled but on this day the calls were extremely garbled and unable to really tell what was being said without a lot of repeating and telling the rep to speak slowly. Maybe every 5th word could be understood. The rep goes thru his call response grid putting me on hold several times to speak to experts and then tells me I have to call LG service and he would transfer me. It was a cold transfer and I had to start from the beginning again. He informs me I need to speak to online sales CS and request replacement dryer and he would transfer me another cold transfer. The only positive of the LG service CS was the call was clear. Back to online sales CS and another extremely garbled call. I explained what service had said and she insisted on going thru her call response grid putting me on hold twice to speak to experts and then says I need to call LG service. I had to once again repeat I had already done that. Put on hold again and then comes back on to say will process replacement. Then goes on to say I need to agree to terms and conditions of replacement but do to garbled line couldnt understand what those terms and conditions were. I finally just agreed to them without knowing what they were. I once again requested supervisor and was told it would be 24-48 hours to speak to supervisor even though the original 48 hours had passed with no call. The rep was unable to tell me when this replacement dryer was coming. I finally received a call from supervisor on 1/6. All she wanted to do was say I apologize. She couldnt tell me when replacement would come. When I asked if she wanted to hear about my experience with her company she actually said No I can read the notes. At this point I stated I wanted to return both the washer and dryer and she informed me there would be a restocking fee on the washer. I told her that was unacceptable and requested manager. She informed me it would be 24-48 hours to hear back from manager. So I still have no ability to do laundry. The call with supervisor the line was slightly better but still garbled. It was 72 hours before I received the call from the supervisor. If the supervisors and managers are this overloaded I must not be the only one receiving poor customer service from them. I would still probably buy LG appliances but would NEVER buy directly from LG. I usually buy from Best Buy and their delivery and installation is always flawless and free with their membership program. At this point I told the supervisor if I dont hear back from a manager by 1/8 I would have no choice but to protest the charge with my credit card company as they had not provided what I had paid for.

Poor Excuse for a Washer

Ive always considered LG a reliable workhorse brand. So I had high hopes when purchasing this washer and its matching dryer. I should have lowered my expectations. Pros: The slow close glass lid keeps it from slamming and allows a clear view of the wash cycle. The machine seems sturdy and will hopefully last a while. On Deep Wash and on Bedding it seems to do an adequate wash job. Cons: On Normal cycle the clothes are never submerged in water during the wash cycle no matter the size of the load. Since there is an insufficient water level there are times that some items come out with never having gotten completely wet and therefore were NOT washed. Also since there is an insufficient water level the impeller drags the lowest items across the bottom of the machine so roughly that its wearing them out quicker. Anything longer than a foot long sleeves pants towels sheets etc just gets rolled and tied into knots or tight bundles and anything caught within the bundle doesnt get washed and sometimes doesnt even get wet. While it does seem to wash okay on Deep Wash or Bedding it fills the tub almost to the rim. So using this cycle in place of the Normal cycle just negates the whole reason for purchasing an expensive High Efficiency washer. Specific Example: I started a Normal cycle with 3 towels 1 pair of jeans a hand towel and a washcloth. After 15 minutes into the wash cycle one leg of the jeans was completely dry sitting on top of the load. After 20 minutes the jeans were finally wet but the towels were rolled into a tight bundle that just rolled with each impeller turn. The bottom of the washer was visible for the entire wash cycle and the water didnt even cover the impeller. It wasnt until the rinse cycle that water actually covered the impeller and barely covered the wash load. If I want anything more than a handful of items sufficiently washed I need to waste water by using the Deep Wash cycle which thereby limits my daily washing ability since I have a septic system.

Overall using this machine has been miserable. The user interface is focused on preset options so its hard to adjust the settings. The set of preset options is also pretty limited. As one example there seems to be no way to select a low heat setting. Even if you choose cold water at the end of a cycle the clothes are all absurdly hot. During a load there is not a good way to tell where in the cycle your load is. This is especially bad because the time estimates are terrible and constantly adjust. And some loads take a VERY long time. I just had one load that went for three hours. Also the clothes come out wrinkled every time so they look terrible if you want to something like drying them on a drying rack. Out of all the washing machines I have used this is by far the worst.

The top loader seems to be working well. The delivery people lack any understanding of how a home should be taken care of. The machine was hooked up wrong. Hot to cold and cold to hot. The LG people wanted picture me to pull the machine out from the wall.. I am not the employee but widow who bought new so she didnt have to do anything of the such Where is service today. How sad that the consumer has to do the work and is in question for the malfunction of the machine. Very disappointed with the way the company tries to solve a problem.

First time buying impeller and I hope it lasts

This is my first time purchasing an impeller washer. I am pleasantly surprised so far. I can load up this washer so I only have to do one load of laundry per week 2 active people in the household. I also am able to put towels and clothes together with how much this washer can hold One thing I didnt see in the controls is a rinse only cycle. Otherwise this is a very basic washer with standard cycles. Nothing special or fancy about it but so far is very functional. I hope this lasts

Customer Service Issue and Instruct Manual Wrong

Communication Snafu 8/24/2023

The LG washer works once you figure out how to deal with the syphoning problem. The instruction manual on page 13 says to insert the drain hose in the standpipe and to make sure that no more than 8 inches of the drain hose is so inserted. In reality that is not the issue - the issue is that the drain hose turn must be above the top of the washer otherwise siphoning will occur. The washer will continually be drawing out water and will stop cycling after the initial wash cycle. Despite numerous conversations with Customer Support none really knew about this and instead suggested resetting the control panel every time and some said power off than then use a 5 second power button push while other said power down with an unplug event included and then after a 60 second delay an then a power button push. Those reset the control panel and if you select Deep Fill you may be able to cycle the washer for a time. So ultimately the repair company who came to the house showed me the real issue and the fix. I was ready to hire someone to take this back to Lowes as a lemon. So I am glad the washer seems to be working now. On another note why does this form say to check I received this product free or at a discounted price I did not however I do want to be included in the sweepstakes and obviously this opinion is honest so I checked that box. More miscommunication on your part.

I bought this washer from Costco July 4 sale. It has been working well. I would have put a five star review but it came with a detached hose so once it was installed it leaked all over the basement floor which was a disaster. LG was able to send a technician within a week to get it fixed and its been working great since then

BEST EVER SO FAR

I have had this washer for almost a year effective this month. I have been pleased with the performance. There are some options that took me a while to figure out but reading the manual helps. The only downside to this is that when you call for maintenance they put you through the paces of checking the machine for issues reading from a script on their computer I was on for 45 minutes and then they tell you it doesnt warrant a service call. Live with it. Not what I expected. Of course your call goes to a foreign country so what can you expect. Also I was requesting service on both the washer and the dryer but the same agent could not handle both calls and I had to be transferred. That made no sense.

The Light Weight of the Family

The machine looks impressive but lacks the features of other similar looking. To me and my wife it is overly complicated and will take time to learn all its features. The book does not explain fully how to execute test mode had to use youtube for that. The funny thing is wouldnt go into test mode a second time. The diagnostic feature is a slow burn. You have to be patient. The first time washing bedding received an unbalanced code in the rinse cycle. Correct the unbalancing but the machine then went into a loop where it would drain fill and spin drain fill and spin even when it changed from rinse to spin Did this on two separate occasions with sheets and blankets. Had to put in a spin cycle only to dry the sheets The second time it did not do a good job of drying the sheets and I had to split them into two loads to dry them. Did I mention that the times kept changing too? My wife did decide to keep the washer but overall I rate it a C or three stars. It is quiet with not a lot of vibration and if you work with it it will get the job done.

Our old washer was dying and we began the search-after reading reviews info on line our LG was ordered and delivered the next day 3 loads later and clothes cleaner than theyd ever been even in our old washer we knew wed made the right decision. Highly recommended This was the only machine that met all of our requirements we are extremely satisfied.

Leaving detergent stains

Since we bought this washer I completely hate it. No matter how small the load is and how minimal amount of detergent we use they clothes always end with detergent stains. I have to use extra rinse or bedding settings everytime.

Purchased thus washer dryer set and found it us not at all energy efficient poor manuals made for series so my model was not covered. LG has no proper recommendations on how to use.
